Historic Fort Pierce, Florida
Fort Pierce, also spelled Ft. Pierce, is a city in St. Lucie County, Florida. It is known as the Sunrise City, sister to San Fancisco, California, the Sunset City.
As of 2008, the population recorded by the US Census bureau is 41,000. It is the county seat of St. Lucie County.
Fort Pierce was the original home of the U.S. Navy SEALs during WW II and today is home to the Navy UDT-SEAL Museum. If horticulture is your passion, visit the beautiful Heathcote Botanical Gardens.
